Love

First there was an I
And then a You
And you and I ignite a spark
Me

And I am and have been
Time and Space and Energy and Matter
Yes and no
And all the dust in between

And I am two four eight
And I see warm and cold
And loud and quiet
And you inside dust

And I am millions of billions
And see pleasure and pain
And need and aversion
And desires and dreams

And a being is formed
Made of dust
To which a sun
Once decayed

And love arises
When suns and planets
And living beings
Crumble to dust

And a good pile longs
Back in the intestine
And grows a tree
To show an apple the way

Love is the power
That creates unity
Not only the hormone controlled feeling
Of my reproductive organs

Love of the purest forms we find
Between baby mouth and teat
Free from expectation and without reward
Love can never be regardless!
